Old Pulteney's Bow Wave Dates Back 45 Years
References: yankodesign
'Bow Wave' is an ultra-luxurious single-malt scotch bottle that houses Old Pulteney's "oldest-ever single malt to be bottled and sold." Clocking in at 45 years in the making, combined with the elegance of the bottle, this spirit will definitely be sought after by alcohol connoisseurs.
The eye-catching bottle was designed by Glasstorm, a design duo consisting of Brodie Nairn and Nichola Burns. The silhouette is shaped like an egg with silver wave accents engulfing it. The bottle showcases the transition from clear to deep blue glass. Fittingly, the inspiration for the shape came from the maritime heritage of Northern Scotland. Opening Bow Wave requires a bespoke anchor key, and it elegantly sits on a piece of locally sourced Scottish slate for display.
