Predictive Proposal Apps

TIME's Facebook App Answers 'Is It Time I Got Married?'

TIME created a Facebook app that asks "Is it time I got married?" and gives you a prediction on when you'll get married, based on your Facebook friends.

After giving the app access to your Facebook account, it looks at the average age of married friends, to determine if you'll be asked soon to tie the knot, or if you've most likely missed out on that window.

There are a number of factors that could seriously affect the results of the app, including that some people do not specify their age or, current relationship status, plus any couples who identify as being "engaged," "in a civil union" or "in a domestic partnership," are lumped into the same group as married couples.
