IKEA ads have a history of being both clever and mesmerizing and its latest billboard ad symbolizes how it is helping homeowners create space in small refined areas.
German ad agency Thjnk and production studio I Made This collaborated to create IKEA’s RGB billboard. The ad is brilliant in that it uses different colors superimposed on each other to feature three different headlines. The board uses cyan, magenta and yellow and when the overhead lights shine red, green and blue (RGB), the board reveals different headlines.
The ad space is nine meters, yet the creativity behind it turns the cramped billboard in 27 square meters. Not only is the ad colorful and engaging to pedestrians, but it also represents IKEA’s space-saving message. IKEA is always coming up with solutions for small spaces, and it is marketable for creating unforgettable ads, which entice consumers and keep them loyal to the brand.
