Hy-Vee Pharmacy is Rolling Out New Features for Customers

Hy-Vee Pharmacy has announced it will be providing talking prescription labels to customers at more than 275 locations in a bid to help further support those with low vision, blindness, dyslexia or other kinds of reading disabilities.

The labels are being rolled out thanks to a partnership with En-Vision America free-of-charge and work by having a small tag added onto the bottom of a prescription bottle. This will enable the bottle to be scanned with the En-Vision America's ScripTalk product or scanned via the accompanying mobile app.

Executive Vice President and Chief Health Officer for Hy-Vee Kristin Williams spoke on the new prescription labels saying, "We are on a mission to make health care services more accessible for our patients. Through our partnership with En-Vision America, we now offer a solution to help improve the health outcomes for our visually- and print-impaired patients, along with our non-English speaking patients who often face language barriers to health care."
