Hug It Forward is a non-profit organization that helps to fund the building of new schools in various communities in Guatemala using old bottles.
Using plastic bottles and other inorganic waste, the organization works with local children and community members to create new schools using materials that would otherwise go to landfills.
To fund their initiative, they accept donations, sell bracelets and offer week-long trips to Guatemala to show donors how their support works first-hand. The revenue generated from the trips, as well as the funds generated from the participant's fundraising efforts, goes back into the organization to cover labor and overhead costs.
