Cathedrals are places of worship that we don't traditionally associate with living quarters -- unless we're thinking of the clergy -- but the Hudson St by Bagnato Architects makes use of an 1892 Anglican church by re-imagining it as a full featured living space.
The space is a full-sized home that's fit for a family with an expansive kitchen, dining room, living room, multiple bedrooms and a number of small spaces for relaxation. My favorite features of the design include how they kept much of the original detailing and the way that Bagnato Architects replaced the walls in what is now the living room space with floor to ceiling glass.
Although having origins that lie in the past, Hudson St by Bagnato Architects is fully appointed with all modern amenities that prove style and function can be bedfellows after all.
