Multi-Garden Abodes

The 'House of Eight Gardens' Features Views of the Abundant Plant Life

Architecture studio Goko designed the 'House of Eight Gardens,' a glass-walled residence located in Cuernavaca, Mexico.

The goal behind the eight glass-walled gardens that inform the project's concept and title, was to ensure that the interior was well-lit and had access to nature. Moreover, the architects wished to design a home that offered its residents "absolute rest," thereby improving their quality of life. As such, each bedroom and/or living space in the home looks out onto a manicured garden.

The home's center features a small pond, encompassed by glass, which allows views of the arboreal life surrounding the property (the tabachin tree, in particular, which borders the estate). The rest of the spaces are arranged around this central feature, each opening to a different courtyard and plant populus.
