Hoofcount, a prominent UK company specializing in automatic footpaths, has introduced Pedivue, a revolutionary lameness detection device leveraging artificial intelligence (AI). Pedivue helps farmers identify lameness in their cows at an earlier stage. This advanced device captures critical moments of cow hoof movement, utilizing an intelligent filtering algorithm to obtain precise footage for AI analysis.
Pedivue’s AI system is trained on extensive hoof data collected from four farms, combined with veterinary expertise. This device's primary objective is to identify lameness and related issues as early as possible, thereby facilitating prompt and effective treatment.
"With both financial and technical support, together with guidance and direction, we have been able to develop Pedivue. The system’s results, clarity and accuracy, even in its early stages of development have already gained interest and support from vets and hoof trimmers," said Anthony Marsh from Hoofcount.
