H&M is notorious for collaborating with all sorts of designers and big celebs for exquisite and stunning lines it markets in its stores. And with its newest store opening up in Times Square, NY who better to side with than the Pop princess herself, Lady Gaga? The Swedish retailer has come a long way from the beginning stages of H&M and now the brand is taking over New York.
The store will dazzle in fashion as well as technology -- virtual catwalk, interactive mannequins, charging station equipped with iPads, LED screens and other digital glories are on the agenda to be included in the store. Although she won’t be designing for the retail powerhouse anytime soon, she will be marketing what she does best -- her music.
On top of being on location of the grand opening to meet fans and hand out her new album ArtPop, Gaga’s album will be stocked at H&M’s worldwide. And yet even with zero designs from the pop masterpiece that is Lady Gaga, I’ve got to say this is my favorite H&M collaboration thus far.
