The Hide and Seek Lamp is playfully named for the way people interact with it. Invisible when not in use, it blends into the background effortlessly so that people miss it almost entirely even when searching for it. As playful as its name is, however, the design is incredibly sophisticated. Abstract and sculptural, it becomes a glowing art piece when turned on.
Designed by design student Félicie Eymard, the Hide and Seek Lamp is made out of plexiglass panels, which have been etched with fine lines. The pieces can be rearranged depending on what people want. Subtle and illuminating, the pieces shows how designers are looking to elevate such standard pieces of decor for the home. There will be no need for art with this in the room.
