Crowdsourced Inclusive Tights

Heist Studios Took on 'The Nude Project' to Collect Skin Tone Data

Across a wide range of products from makeup cosmetics to lingerie, consumers are calling for expanded shade ranges and greater inclusivity—and Heist Studios launched The Nude Project as a way to offer skin-matching hosiery that's suited to a wide range of women.

For The Nude Project, Heist Studios set up a microsite to collect crowdsourced data from consumers. Over 1,000 women shared their unique "nude" skin tone, so that a more diverse product range could be created to better serve their needs. As a result, Heist Studios will soon be launching five new tights, with sizing available from four to 14 at the launch in the UK, with extended sizing options for the nude tights from 16 to 24 to be added later in the fall.
