Engaging in physical activity and cozying up to a heat lamp are great ways to stave off the chill of winter, so this unique initiative brings the two methods together. In partnership with the MOST Creative Club, the Russian Olympic Committee set up public heat lamps that required people to get their blood pumping through movement to generate enough heat for others to enjoy.
The heat lamps had people do things like jog in place to warm up a total stranger. Rather than not being able to see the difference made, the social heat lamp also took photos of participants, making it clear who was giving and receiving warmth. While the cold may be intolerable, this is a fun stunt to build community and keep people in good spirits throughout the winter months.
