Chopard is releasing a $1.5 million Happy Sport watch to celebrate its 20th anniversary. Since 1993, the Happy Sport watches have been released with different themes like La Vie en Rose, Mystery Pink and Happy Spirit.
This luxurious Diamantissimo edition has a case made of 18-karat white gold and loaded with nearly 3,000 decadent diamonds, as well as other brilliant gems like amethyst and sapphire. Each precious stone of the 65-carat watch was painstakingly laid into place over the course of over 4,500 hours.
If you can take your eyes off this piece of jewelry and remember that it is a functioning watch, you'll notice that its hour and minute hands and Roman numerals are rhodium-plated in 18-karat white gold.
