San Francisco-based photographer Hana Haley is just 21-years-old but her selected portfolio shows a shutterbug with eyes wise beyond her years.
As a photographer, Hana Haley shoots largely in analog and primarily focuses on portraits that make deft usage of lightning and gorgeous backdrops to add life and energy to photographs of disaffected subjects.
One of my favorite things about Hana Haley's photography is her ability to make every photograph seem genuinely organic. It's almost as though she's following her subjects around as a friend but encouraging them to ignore her and behave as naturally as possible, then snapping photographs when they least expect it.
If I had to select a single photograph as a favorite in Hana Haley's collection, it would be her Polaroid portrait of a sexy bohemian gal in mouse ears, and a black singlet. The shot is highly sexual, natural-looking, and mysterious. I don't think you could combine another three characteristics to create a more enticing photograph, and Hana Haley does so with ease.
Take a look through her selected portfolio to see what I mean.
