Most green architecture approaches the concept of sustainable structures one building at a time, but Hanoi, Vietnam recently commissioned architectural firm SOM Inc. to design them an entire town named Green Tech City.
Green Tech City is just one of three huge urban projects that the firm is working on in Vietnam alone, and it will integrate two existing villages into a giant eco complex, with housing for over 20,000 people. Featuring picturesque green spaces and an abundance of services like hair salons and art galleries, the urban center will be a consummate example of urban planning done right for years to come.
