Great Jones Distilling Co. Celebrates Basquiat Once Again

Great Jones Distilling Co. unveils a limited-edition bourbon to celebrate the iconic artist from New York Jean-Michel Basquiat. This marks the second time that the brand has honored Basquiat and this follows a trio set of bourbons that are detailed by his signature crown motif last year. The distillery now bottles a four-year-old rye-infused bourbon libation and the label is decorated by the 1982 artwork, Mecca.

Mecca is filled with energetic colors which represents the city that Basquiat is from. The painting also highlights a version of the Empire State Building, a symbol of the city along with the aforementioned crown motif. The bourbon is crafted from 100% New York corn, rye, and malted barley, and has 43% ABV spirit. There are notes of vanilla, dry corn, and a touch of white pepper.
