Esports organization Gen.G has announced a partnership with Burberry for a content series dedicated to empowering women and promoting inclusivity in the esports industry. The four-part series will be hosted by Emily Ghoul, a content creator and cosplayer, and will feature women in gaming and content creation with a focus on stereotyping, toxic online environments, and underrepresentation.
The episodes will be released every two weeks, with the first featuring Gen.G streamer and influencer Krysta Eason, Enlight.gg Founder Eunice Chen, and Melissa Roth Mendez from Burberry. The partnership will also see Burberry financially support the Gen.G Foundation Scholarship, which seeks out new talent in the esports and gaming industries.
‘We are so proud to partner with Gen.G and to support the next generation of women within gaming to go beyond. Through our programming and scholarship, we hope to equip young leaders with the skills they need to succeed and achieve their aspirations," said Rachel Waller, Global VP of Channel Innovation at Burberry.
