Italian octagenarian Gaetano Pesce breaches into the realm of handbags with fashion house Bottega Veneta as he presents two new designs at Milan Design Week. The two designs capture two landscapes -- one with mountains and the other with prairies. Both of these are complete with a red disc that is meant to resemble the sun. The first bag is dubbed My Dear Mountains and the second is My Dear Prairies.
Pesce speaks about the approach to Dezeen, stating "It's an image that is optimistic when we have a reality that is not optimistic at all. Because we have Russia making war in Ukraine and they're taking freedom from places where democracy exists and freedom exists. So in opposition to that, we can design something that is positive, something that is a message for the future."
