The futuristic headquarters of South Korean music agency YG Entertainment create a statement in the city of Seoul. Inspired by the geometric and material sensibilities of design-forward speakers, the project was headed by Amsterdam-based architectural firm UNStudio. Spreading over a sizable plot of land and measuring seven stories in height, the futuristic headquarters of the K-pop music agency include offices, meeting rooms, as well as recording studios.
The contemporary building design boasts a middle glazed part and metal panel cladding. UNStudio focused on making the northeast side of YG Entertainment's headquarters a quieter space, while the opposing side opens up to the adjacent park and presents a much more "socialized" space. The interior is just as striking as the exterior, as UNStudio incorporated playful curving lines and interesting geometric shapes.
