The Frozen Mojito Pie is a great way to end the summer, although that might be a bit of a premature statement. There might be a few more weeks of hot weather left, but they will go by fast. So to truly soak it all in, an alcoholic dessert is in order. Likened to a key lime pie, the Frozen Mojito Pie nevertheless finishes with a refreshing minty taste that people will truly appreciate.
Created by Anna Monette Roberts of Yum Sugar, the Frozen Mojito Pie is made using salted pretzels, cream cheese, limes, white rum, mint leaves, granulated sugar, heavy cream and salted butter. Roberts writes, "This recipe for frozen mojito pie is a must make (again...and again) before Fall sets in. The frozen pie filling has the same fluffy, slow-to-melt consistency of the ice cream in ice cream sandwiches."
