If you have never heard of a Frito pie, they are usually small, savory and served in a Frito chip bag. Food blogger Amy of Oh, Bite It! decided to take things to a bigger and better level with her Frito Pie ... Pie. As Amy puts it, she "magnified a 'mini' in a magnificent way." She did this by turning what is usually a one serving dish into an entire pie.
The recipe consists of a flaky pie crust filled with chili and covered with melted cheese before being topped with crunchy corn chips (which is where the Fritos come in). Amy used Pillsbury pie crust and canned chili for her pie. She also added sour cream for extra topping on top of the chips.
