FP Markets and Cricket Brasil Debuted a Youth Development Initiative

FP Markets, a global multi-asset broker, has announced a sponsorship deal with Cricket Brasil, an ICC associate member, to support its Youth Development Programme. This partnership is part of FP Markets’ Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative and aims to provide a pathway for Brazilian children to complete their education and build a future in cricket. The sponsorship will focus on three main areas: education, infrastructure upgrades, and community support. The educational aspect involves funding the university education of project leaders, known as the "Black T-shirts," through the Cricket Brasil University Scheme. This scheme offers young Brazilians access to higher education and life-changing opportunities while instilling core values such as respect, leadership, and community.

The infrastructure component of the partnership includes the completion of the Cricket Brasil indoor school and high-performance center in Poços de Caldas, Minas Gerais. Community support will be provided by developing local development officers to help grow the game in local communities. Craig Allison, CEO of FP Markets, emphasized the importance of engaging with communities and making a real difference in people’s lives beyond the trading industry. Matt Featherstone, President of Cricket Brasil, highlighted the partnership’s role in expanding opportunities for young Brazilians to play cricket and join the University Scheme, which educates more Cricket Development officers to increase local engagement and participation.
