The Forest of Numbers was created by architect Emmanuelle Moureaux to celebrate the 10th anniversary of The National Art Center, Tokyo.
The breathtaking installation was designed to represent, in numbers form, the next 10 years that the center will exist to function as a space that holds creative art and design projects. The display takes up 2,000 square meters, is made up of 60,000 numbers and 100 different colors. The numbers in the installation repeat the years 2017 to 2026. The dozens of colors on display are featured in blocks and appear to blend into one another's edges to reveal a consistent rainbow effect.
The Forest of Numbers is both visually stunning and a celebratory installation that sets a precedent for what the next 10 years at the center will look like.
