Foodchain, a salad bar that's located on the busy McGill College Avenue of Montreal, Quebec, employed the talents of designer Cecile Godin to attract a demographic of consumers who are interested in eating healthy, but without the unnecessary flair that often comes with it.
To do so. Godin focused on marketing Foodchain as simple, modern, and a recognizable staple that consumers would be eager to return to as a result. Godin made sure to execute this throughout the entire project, from the loyalty cards that she created for Foodchain, to the way that it structured its menu. She simplified the latter by assigning each salad a number, and then including small illustrations of its primary ingredients.
With this, Godin makes Foodchain an accessible establishment that reflects the desire for transparency in the food industry among many of those who are interested in leading a healthy lifestyle.
