Soaring Crow Video Installations

This Flying Bird Animation is Part of a Multimedia Art Project

'Birdie,' an animation of a flying bird created by Firman Machda, is part of the Garin Nugroho 'Sarang Kehidupan' art installation also known as Life Nest.

The multimedia art exhibition explored the source of life and its repetitive nature, with animals and insects shown going about their wondrous activities in fascinating animation. Almost on a loop that is constantly being altered and mutated, this video demonstrates that if you blink or look away for an instant, the scene may still appear to be similar and unchanged, but in fact a lot has changed.

The crows in this flying bird animation have a sharp, angular construction that looks metallic, demonstrating a harsh side to life and nature.
