Yohji Yamamoto prepares for the Spring/Summer 2020 season in a variety of ways, including the dramatically long flare coats that join its seasonal lineup. Recently, the outerwear was released and it is extravagant throughout the entire design including the details and the silhouette.
The coats are made from velvet materials as a premium touch and features artwork inspired by knights in action that cover the coats. The silhouette extends down beyond the knees and reaches close to the ankle. At the front are double-breasted collars and a button-up enclosure system. There are also some with flap closures instead held by two fastenings at the end of the hem. The front features small front pockets with tonal stitching rounding out the designs.
