New York City is a place that offers a range of fine restaurants for foodies to choose from, but one of the newest permanent establishments comes from 19-year-old chef Flynn McGarry.
At the age of 15, McGarry opened a pop-up called Eureka, but his newest venture sets itself apart as a non-pop-up, permanent restaurant called 'Gem.'
Gem, in NYC's Lower East Side, will offer a cafe-style daytime section called The Living Room, as well as The Dining room for a 12-course eating experience. In keeping with the homestyle theme, it is described that the Gem Tasting Menu experience is formatted to follow "the structure of a dinner party, like the ones Flynn started throwing at 13 out of his mother's home."
