Cupcake-Trumping Cereal

The Kellogg's Fiber Plus Cupcake Commercial Satisfies Your Sweet Tooth

On Monday August 15th, the launch of this mega company's newest cereal resulted in the Kellogg's Fiber Plus Cupcake commercial.

In this advertisement, Fiber Plus had the audacity to challenge the award-winning bakery Perfect Circle Cupcakery (winner of 2011 Food Network’s Cupcake Wars) and its popular chocolate lava cupcake to a taste test. So which tastes better you ask? The cupcake or the fiber plus cereal? Well, the answer should be pretty intuitive, the cupcake won the taste test.

The point is that Kellogg's understands that it cannot compete with a cupcake, but that the new Caramel Pecan Crunch cereal still tastes really good. So good, in fact, that you will have a hard time believing that it really is a fiber cereal.

The Kellogg's Fiber Plus Cupcake commercial was filmed at the Perfect Circle Cupcakery in California.
