Ethical Bean, as its name suggests, is a coffee brand dedicated to fairtrade, responsibility, community, and quality. The brand was launched in 2003 by cofounders Lloyd and Kim who were inspired by learning about the coffee industry, especially the "large gap between the premium price for coffee at home, and the less than desirable reality of the coffee industry."
Ethical Beans only uses 100% Fairtrade Certified and Organic beans and provides a fair wage to the farmers who produce the coffee. To ensure transparency, the brand launched an app that can be used in conjunction with a unique QR code on the back of all packaging so users can trace the journey of their coffee beans "from crop to cup."
