One of my favorite things in Japan is the large variety of strange beverages, but it’s most unfortunate that Espressoda, a combination of my two favorite drinks, was not made until after I left the country.
Japan is no stranger to weird, yet inventive ideas. As the name suggests, Espressoda is a carbonated soda that contains espresso. Coffee can sometimes be a little heavy, but the added fizziness provides a refreshing taste.
Suntory, the company that conceived this amazing drink, is one of Japan’s leading beverage companies that produces both alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks. Although Espressoda was recently released, there have been many mixed reviews about the product, but I’m not sure what more people can ask for -- it’s like heaven in a bottle!
