Backstage-Themed Campaigns

The EQIQ Spring/Summer 2012 Photoshoot Showcases Chic Models

The EQIQ Spring/Summer 2012 advertisement campaign showcases large lit-up vanities. Vanities have been known to lurk behind the scenes of fashion shows and dramatic productions, allowing teams of women and men to perfect desired looks. Few publications have focused upon the importance of the mirrors, and yet this EQIQ production has maintained relevancy.

This editorial was taken by photographer Alex Freund. Models Hanne-Gaby Odiele and Julia Nobis assumed their positions among the elevated chairs and stools quite well, hardly surprising given their familiarity with the setting. Gladiator-esque footwear and 5-inch wedges furthered the glamorous and slightly narcissistic photoshoot, along with flowing summery skirts and casual striped dresses. The display of open makeup pots brought the backstage theme one step further, exhibiting the models within their most natural sphere.
