Double-Sided Household Tools

Dual by Schmiede Fotografie Urges Equality in Chores

Dual by Schmiede Fotografie is a series of photographs that depict household tools that have been slightly tweaked. For instance, a plunger has suction cups on both ends while a garden hose has nozzles on each end. As though made with loving couples in mind, this art project is quirky, fun and subtly romantic.

A purely conceptual project, Dual by Schmiede Fotografie opens people's eyes up to the daily chores that they do on a regular basis and urges individuals to share them equally so as to avoid either being overworked or becoming too lazy. It also questions the functionality of these particular tools.

Dual by Schmiede Fotografie was specifically created by Jan Burwick and Christoph Himmel.
