Video Game Building Facades

Drexel University Transformed into a Giant Tetris Game in Philadelphia

Professor Frank Lee and his team recently transformed Drexel University into a giant Tetris video game to celebrate the popular game's 30th anniversary. Instead of just projecting images of the game on the university walls, the team made sure viewers could actually play Tetris on the giant facade.

It's amazing to think that this game has been around for 30 years. For children of the 90s, Tetris was an integral part of growing up, along with Game Boys and Super Mario. This idea by Drexel University and Frank Lee is perfect for stimulating that sense of nostalgia for onlookers, as well as celebrating the video game's 30 years of being around. It's too bad the massive Tetris game couldn't be there permanently!Photo Credits: designboom, drexel.edu
