Anime-Inspired Disney Heroines

Artist Drachea Rannak Gives Disney Characters Sailor Moon Makeovers

Artist Drachea Rannak combines two iconic cartoon franchises into one: Sailor Moon and Disney. Unlike Manon Yapari, who also tackled the same theme, Drachea Rannak incorporated the Disney princesses and heroine's iconic garbs into the design of the crime-fighting anime character's costumes. Extremely well-executed, the Disney heroines may still look very much like their original states, but they take on the characteristics of Sailor Scouts perfectly, right down to their stances.

From Ariel and Tiana to Esmerelda and Jessie, no character is left untouched by Drachea Rannak. While the Disney franchise continues to pump out strong female protagonists, hopefully series such as Drachea Rannak's will encourage studios to revisit the Sailor Moon phenomena again.
