Domestically Disheveled Editorials

The Document Journal Spring/Summer 2013 Issue is Unkempy

The Document Journal Spring/Summer 2013 issue includes its current editorial Hazardous Domesticity. Taken by photographer Catherine Servel, it suits its title well as model Anniek Kortleve is found sprawled out haphazardly before an unkempt kitchen.

Stylist Catherine Newell-Hanson dressed Servel in equally unkempt ensembles. Gone were perfectly matched pieces and classic motifs. Present however were plastic blue blazers, large fur coats, draping yellow dresses and accordion-shaped skirts.

These eye catching elements were furthered by the work of make up expert Serge Hodonou who pulled off both pink and blue hair extensions, matched in each photo with colorful eye shadows. And while color did abound the production, Hodonu did so while keeping Kortleve's skin tone muted.
