This training scheme hopes to help put an end to discrimination of disabled people by equipping those with disabilities with valuable skills in emerging fields. LADAPT (the association for social and professional inclusion of the handicapped, based in France) in coordination with digital agency Kindai developed the HandiDrone program.
The initiative gives those with mobility issues access to drones and teaches them how to be drone pilots. This not only helps fight the discrimination of disabled people by introducing them to emerging jobs, it also gives physically disabled program participants the chance to "experience the tranquility and control of being outside their own bodies through FPV flying."
This campaign also indicates how affordable drones have become to consumers looking to buy or rent, or modify for special needs.
