Buddy is a chihuahua that slowly started losing his eyesight and over time, eventually became a fully disabled dog that could barely walk on his own. Tasks like going outside and venturing to the food bowl became so much of a challenge for Buddy that his owners decided to come up with a solution to improve the quality of life for their four-legged friend.
After researching comparable solutions online and finding that they would be too heavy for Buddy's small frame, the family took to their local hardware store to come up with a better and more cost-effective DIY solution.
Using a few simple tools like bolts, washers, wing nuts and a plastic hanger strap, a DIY harness was fashioned for the disabled dog. This device now serves as a bumper that lets Buddy go on with his tasks as usual, without losing self-confidence.
