Design studio Diez + Muller Arquitectos extends the corporate office space for industrial company Novopan in Ecuador with concrete structural looks. Novopan is the largest particle board in the country and it issued the design project for the local studio Diez + Muller Arquitectos.
The space is a five-story building that is on top of a parking lot. The foundation is an irregularly shaped space that is set between existing and new buildings so the studio creates a courtyard to manage the connection. The studio notes that "We managed to make the new offices the face of the company in the city, reducing the strong presence of industrial sheds and generating a new, more humane and friendly scale. The project takes advantage of the 'residual' spaces between the office building and the factory to insert support and service areas."
