Detroit Dirt is a social enterprise that takes up unused piece of land in Detroit and turns it into valuable compost that can help to create revitalizing urban farms and further, communities.
Obviously, Detroit Dirt are big proponents of what compost can do -- or rather, what compost can grow. Plants need essential nutrient that compost can provide. And with plans, we can have yummy food, clean air and a quite pretty scene to boot. At the root (pun intended) of all of this, is the creation of a self-sustaining Detroit, one that can run on community gardening, business development and environmental concern.
