This mesh decorative garden shed by Kawahara Krause Architects is created to boast the visual aesthetic of the owner's backyard, as well as to fill "a huge gap on the site boundary" of a private property in Southern Germany. The intention was not to interfere with the beautiful overgrown and dense forest, but to kind of aesthetically fix the imperfection of the man-owned property.
The mesh-like structure of the decorative garden shed is determined to not close off the area, but instead merge with "its dense green surrounding, creating a place to sit outside in the garden," while still being inside.
Kawahara Krause Architects used acrylic tubes in a grid structure. The three-dimensional spacial awareness is reached through the interlocking of two two-dimensional rods.
