Perplexing Etching Branding

The De Vino Wine Bottles Feature Some Peculiar Art

Wine manufacturers De Vino enlisted the help of the design firm Mllongo Studio in order to create a series of interesting bottles to house the brand's special edition Cabernet Sauvignon. The results of this collaboration are four subtly unique bottles featuring graphics that have the appearance of detailed etching.

One bottle features nothing more than a series of realistic-looking cracks, but is otherwise unadorned. Two of the other bottles are more decorative, featuring art that is reminiscent of abstract art. The fourth bottle features a comical illustration of a middle-aged man wearing two liver preservers on a beach. What does it all mean? Your guess is as good as mine, but is it compelling? Strangely, yes. Not understanding the meaning is in no way a draw back when it comes to art pieces like this. These bottles are open for interpretation and their mystique piques curiosity in the consumer.

Oddly engaging and bizarrely beautiful, these De Vino wine packaging will make you reach for the bottle just to figure it out.
