A new line of high-perfromance running and cycling socks from Showers Pass has been rolled out, specifically for use in low-light conditions. These socks feature a 3M Scotchlight treatment, which is able to boast up to 500-candlepower reflectivity. To make the most of this feature for as long as possible, the socks are designed with four-way stretch to prevent cracking so that the reflective feature is able to last about 20 washes.
The socks are made from a blend of merino wool, nylon, polyester and Lycra fibers, with more reinforcements on the heel and toe for greater wear. Other high-performance features of the sock include an anatomical fit and compression at the arch and tendons to improve circulation. For air flow, the socks adopt an open-knit pattern to counter the areas where sweat tends to accumulate most.
Showers Pass' own president Kyle Ranson boasts completing a very wet half marathon in the Torch socks with no blisters and no concerns that drivers wouldn't be able to see him.
