Unconventionally Curved Lights

A3 Comes up with Designs that Challenge the Norms

A3 has come up with a variety of curved lights that challenge the conventional ways illuminators are built. The team wanted to push the bounds of how lights are normally put together, and decided to make subtle changes to these looks.

For example, the Bancha light has a wooden top area that hangs from the ceiling, with a white-washed ceramic base. Combining these two materials in this manner makes the illuminator stand out and appear different than most designs. Another light in the collection is the Blanquita, which from a distance resembles a bull with horns coming out of the top. Most of the time lights are hung with a single cord from the top, but A3 experiments with this convention by adding in two additional hanging pieces on the sides. Photo Credits: designboom, a3web.ar
