Founded by Leticia M. Jáuregui Casanueva, Crea is an organization that was created about five years ago. The gender-specific business-focused social enterprise works with low-income women in Mexico in order to utilize business development offerings to create a more successful (in terms of profits) and measurable (also, in terms of profits) business.
Crea accepts donations, making it a blur of the "social business" definition that we generally ascribe to here. In the same realm, they're money-making activities include the sale of products including catering (almond and sesame mole, pipian sunflower seed sauce powder, apple marmelade, etc.) and craft goods (table runners, onyx globes, bracelets and necklaces, etc.).
