Converted Stable Studios

What Once Functioned as a Stable and Garage is Now a Studio Space

It is difficult to believe that this converted stable was once used to house animals.

The space is now a versatile studio that was designed by SHED Architecture and Design. Although small, the converted stable is now home to a bedroom with large sliding doors, a guest suite, floor-to-ceiling windows, a living area with its own fire pit, a storage closet and a fully functional bathroom. The space is used by the current owners as a guest home as well as an art studio. Although somewhat industrial-looking with its sparse decor and gray cement floors, this converted stable is much more modern than the old space -- a point which is made clear when looking at the "before" and "after" photos.

The drastic transformation of this once-decrepit stable into something livable and workable shows that any piece of architecture has potential.
