In response to the growing demand for fancy food halls, Starbucks has announced it will be opening a Eataly-style coffee center somewhere in Manhattan. Although the brand was forced to ditch its struggling tea bar concept just weeks ago, it seems that the global coffee chain already has a new expansion plan in mind.
The new Starbucks locale will consist of an Eataly-style coffee center in the heart of New York City. The massive coffee center will measure somewhere between 15,000 and 25,000 square feet in size, making it a shrine to the iconic coffee company. The new space will be similar to the Starbucks’ Reserve Roastery and Tasting Room that already exists in Seattle, with extra room set aside for research and development.
Along with the new center, Starbucks also plans to open more of its Reserve shops, indicating a growing demand for more unique coffee experiences.
