Interactive Climate Change Installations

Thijs Biersteker's Symbiosia is an Installation in Paris

Artists are dabbling with climate change installations, sculptures and other forms of artworks that seek to raise awareness about environmental and social issues while producing some interactive for the audience to marvel at. Dutch creative Thijs Biersteker has embraced this through a real-time climate change installation that utilizes digital tools to exhibit how nature in Paris is responding to rising issues. The piece is aptly called Symbiosia and when building the experience, the artist collaborated with scientist Stefano Mancuso.

Two trees are connected to digital displays as part of the climate change installation. The vegetation is located in Fondation Cartier pour l'art contemporain's garden. The piece relies on collected data and visually exhibits this data to stun viewers and cause them to take action.
