The Cinemacity App allows users to jump straight into their favorite films by visiting shot locations. Cinemacity guides film buffs through the streets of Paris and shows them where scenes from certain films were shot. Users can take guided walks and visit multiple locations to discover Paris through a new perspective. Once someone with Cinemacity arrives at a geolocated spot, they are able to play a movie clip in order to experience Paris as if they were in a movie.
Cinemacity was created in a collaboration between European television network Arte, multimedia studio Small Bang and the Paris City Hall. Anybody can download the iOS or Android app and walk through Paris while finding a new dimension of Cinema.
The app is currently available in English, French and German from the Cinemacity website.
