A collaboration between Converse and luxury retailer Barneys has resulted in a glossy Chuck Taylor sneaker. Although a variety of Chuck Taylor models have been released, this marks the first time Converse has teamed up with a luxury brand.
The new project will see the iconic Converse Chuck Taylor constructed with crinkled patent leather with a shiny and shimmery finish. The shoe will be available in three color ways: black, white and red, but and will retail the sneaker's classic silhouette. Each of the three designs will be finished with a white mid-sole. The hightops will be finished with silver metal eyelets and an embossed All-Star patch. Chuck Taylor's new glossy leather finish is tastefully done, adding a textured and colored accent to the throwback kicks.
