Portillo's Chocolate Cake Cookie Was Created with Milk Bar

Portillo's Chocolate Cake Cookie has been launched as a limited-edition treat for customers to pick up this fall as an alternative way to enjoy the signature flavor of chocolate cake.

The cookie was created in partnership with New York bakery Milk Bar and boasts a rich, fudge-focused taste and texture profile to give it an everyday indulgence profile. The cookie also features chunks of Portillo's fudge frosting in the mix to give the baked good additional pops of sweetness throughout. The cookie is being offered in individually wrapped portions, and can be enjoyed in-store and via the brand's grab-and-go display.

VP of Strategy and Culinary Garrett Kern commented on the Portillo's Chocolate Cake Cookie saying, "Portillo’s world-famous, homemade chocolate cake is iconic. This delicious dessert has been a staple on our menu for decades, and when we were given the chance to collaborate with the fantastic Christina Tosi and Milk Bar, we knew we had the ultimate opportunity to transform our fan-favorite cake into hand-held treats Portillo’s, Milk Bar and chocolate lovers everywhere could enjoy."
